Intro Classes

NEW TO FENCING?

Try one of our Introductory Classes to see if fencing is for you or your child. We provide the equipment. Browse the descriptions below for an age-appropriate class:

• YOUTH INTRO CLASS (ages 4-7) starts every two months, January, March, May, etc. The class meets for 8 sessions
  Parents and children are welcome to observe the above classes.
• INTRO CLASS (Ages 7-15)
  This is a one-time four week introductory class is for students with little experience or no prior exposure to fencing. This class meets once a week for one hour and teaches the basic skills for all disciplines of fencing. The fee includes the use of equipment. Students will continue in a weapon suited for them and an age-appropriate class. (Introductory Class Form at the very bottom of the page.)
• ADULT INSTRUCTION (ages 15 and up)
  The Adult Class meets on a weeknight. Participants are welcome to stay for extra bouting. We provide the equipment. Class meets Wednesdays 8PM - 9PM, admission is on a rolling basis.
  Adults may also take introductory private lessons on a weeknight. Please call 516.576.0646 to schedule a lesson. He/she may try all three weapons or focus on one weapon.
